Moroccanoil Oil Treatment: my review

Moroccanoil Oil Treatment

Moroccanoil Oil Treatment

I first heard about Moroccanoil Oil Treatment from my stylist, who said that this thing is a pure liquid gold for hair. So, I spent some time reading about this product, and checked reviews of proffesionals as well. The oil had some wonderful reviews, usually getting 5 out of 5 stars, and in addition, it was named the best-selling haircare product for dry hair in 2009 at one of my favorite web-sites. And it is very popular in the U.S., so I thought it means it is effective, so I decided to try.

Here is the description of Moroccanoil Oil Treatment from its manufacturer: Moroccanoil is a unique oil treatment for all types of hair. It doesn’t contain alcohol. This oil softens thick hair and gives shine and softness to dull lifeless hair. This product eliminates frizz, accelerates styling time, and gives long-term conditioning and moisturizing to all hair types. Due to its unique formula, Moroccan Oil strengthens damaged hair while healing it. Nourishes the scalp and provides UV protection. Reduces drying time.

Moroccan Oil provides an optimal balance of vitamins and natural oils to make hair smoother, easier to manage and more shiny without making the locks oily. After several applications hair will improve – you will see your split ends alleviated and hair nourished.

Usage directions: After shampooing and conditioning your hair, pour a dime amount of oil in the palms and apply to damp hair, then style as usual.

Ingredients: Cyclopentasiloxane, Dimethicone, Cyclomethicone, Butylphenyl, MethylPropional, Argania Spinoza Kernal Oil (Aragan Oil), Linseed (Linum Usitatissimum) Extract, Fragrance Supplement, D&C Yellow-11, D&C Red-17, Coumarin, Benzyl Benzoate, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone.
As you can see it contains Argan Oil, which is very effective at repairing damaged hair, but not as effective as the silicones. But I think the most important thing is that it is alcoholo-free.

Moroccanoil Oil Treatment a Review

Texture: its a liquid oil, almost orange in color, with a nice smell, which I called oriental. My hair is exactly as described in the product description: dry, and needs good conditioning every day, as I color it very often. And I avoid using alcohol-based products, as my hair is frizzy.

What I think : Well, it’s not a miraculous one, but I enjoyed this product very much. The Oil absorbs immediately and doesn’t leave an oily feeling. It gave my hair a great shine, as if I visited a stylist. It worked nice at preventing the frizz, and after several applications I think my hair started to revitalize and look healthier and glossier. The only thing I noticed is that I thought it would be better at conditioning my hair.

But I will definitely use it, until a more effective product is created.

That’s it for today. Take care and don’t forget to visit!
